The mission of Mike Lee Basketball is to develop fundamentally sound basketball players through detailed, knowledgeable, and dynamic teaching, demonstrations and innovative drills. The staff at Mike Lee Basketball presents an enthusiastic, nurturing environment for players and coaches alike. Our skilled trainers strive to be positive role models for athletes, promoting life skills such as persistence, hard work and commitment through the game of basketball.
Throughout the history of Mike Lee Basketball, the company has used this operating mission to grow and support athletes around the country. Mike Lee Basketball began humbly in 2003, operating as a single camp during the month of June. By 2006, the company expanded to include more camp dates in more cities throughout the Midwest.
Since then, Mike Lee Basketball has trained and educated over 8,000 players, coaches, and assistants from East coast to West. Methods of instruction grew from one-on-one training to instructional DVDs that captured a wider audience and introduced thousands to the method devised by Founder and Lead Trainer Mike Lee. These students and participants have gone on to play on varying levels, including collegiate Division I programs.
Mike Lee Basketball has partnered with Jamaica Basketball Development to form Project Kickz, an effort to enrich the lives of the underprivileged youth of Jamaica by providing them with life skills development and opportunities to further their educational development through the game of basketball.
At every Mike Lee Basketball event, the staff collects new and gently used shoes to contribute to Project Kickz and the efforts of the Jamaica Basketball Development program.
